Brands have always used innovative marketing strategies to delight their customers. It has now become a part of our daily lives.
But Competitors can’t have them eat the entire cake right? It can start from a small sarcasm to huge ad wars with millions of investment just to get the attention of us- consumers. Accept it, you enjoy these fights. I’ve listed down some of the biggest and hilarious ad wars below.
1. Pepsi vs Coca Cola
The rivalry between the top coke brands is legendary and is often termed as The Cola Wars. Both brands have been fighting for the top position for a century now. This cut-throat competition has led to several feuds between these two. Talk about being on their toes.
The Coke Murder- an ad by Pepsi was in talks but not for long. Coca Cola immediately came up with an ad asking Pepsi to come One on One! And the response was hilarious.

Another such ad of Pepsi came on Halloween where Pepsi can be seen dressed as Coca Cola signifying 'scary' on Halloween. However, one fan of Coca Cola edited and reposted. The post gained popularity in no time.

“Competition can be fierce, but it must also be fair and legal”- Pepsi.
Takeaway- Respect your competitors and get ahead of them by fair means.

This hyped brand war was ignited by Audi when they placed their billboard saying ‘You Move, BMW’. It was then a series of counter-responses that led to this creative feud between these two. This war eventually became a multi-billion dollar scale billboard.
Guess Audi should have thought this through!

The fast-food giants are not leaving this list either. Although Burger King is usually the first one to throw shade on McDonald's, their fight is amusing and keeps the customers engaged very well.

4. Mobile Brands' War

Nokia entered the market by straight away targeting one of the market leaders.

As for the iPhones' response, you may ask? Well, they didn’t hold themselves back!
Soon the war was joined by Micromax by targeting the customers who couldn’t afford an iPhone.

OUCH!
5. Starbucks and McDonalds
As McDonald's started with coffee, it took a brewing battle and came up with the billboard challenging the high prices charged by Starbucks to gain customers. However, Starbucks didn’t let the opportunity go by coming up with this banner.

Indian aviation brands took a dig at each other when Jet airways acquired Sahara Airlines Ltd. While Jet Airway announced their new acquisition with the billboard, King Fisher who was among top competitors during those times, came up with a dig.
However, Go Air took away all the lights with this amazing ad showcasing themselves over and above all. This ad war went viral on social media.
